FIRST EXHIBIT TO FEATURE THE ACCLAIMED PHOTOGRAPHY FROM RICHARD E. AARON AND KEVIN ESTRADA
(Hollywood, CA – May 9, 2006) – Art meets rock ‘n’ roll with the opening of Hollywood’s newest gathering spot, The Shooting Gallery. The brainchild of music business veteran, Bobby Carlton, The Shooting Gallery will feature some of music’s greatest moments (including some never before seen classics) captured by its best photographers. The first exhibit, which will be featured at the Grand Opening event, will run for six to eight weeks. The opening exhibit will feature collections for viewing as well as pieces for sale from Kevin Estrada and Richard E. Aaron. The Shooting Gallery is scheduled to open on June 8, 2006.
Throughout his career, Aaron had a ringside seat to rock ‘n’ roll’s greatest moments when he lived next door to New York City's top recording studios. In his distinguished career, he has captured the thunder of rock ‘n’ roll with explosive images of Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Van Halen, Carlos Santana, Ted Nugent, Prince, the Sex Pistols, Rory Gallagher, Bob Marley, B.B. King and others. “I like to capture the innocence of people and translate what I hear musically to what I see visually,” explains Aaron. Having traveled with everyone from the Sex Pistols to Mick Fleetwood, Aaron still believes in shooting film. “I’m so excited to be part of this project—I think Bobby’s vision is unique and having the gallery next door to the Guitar Center is brilliant.” |
